Managing Partners
Ricardo Saad G Rodrigues
Ricardo is co-founder and managing partner of Cominitiare and is currently based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Prior to Cominitiare, Ricardo worked as a strategy, corporate development and product executive at global technology companies, including Uber, Nubank, Thomson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer and others. Responsible for strategy build-up, corporate buy-in and execution of M&A, strategic partnerships, sales and product development in Latin America, Ricardo spearheaded dozens of completed transactions in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Spain, representing more than USD 1 billion in acquisition capital.
Ricardo is also an investor and board member of a number of technology companies specialized in software, e-commerce, ed-tech, health IT, marketplaces and others. He focuses on helping these companies devise business models and strategy, startup operations, as well as attract talent and capital.
Ricardo holds a law degree from PUC-SP and an MBA from IESE Business School. He also has a Masters in Corporate Finance from the University of Barcelona.
Ricardo is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Edward de Leonardis
Edward is co-founder and managing partner of Cominitiare and is currently based in London, UK.
Prior to Cominitiare, Edward worked as account director for large media groups such as Mindshsare (WPP), Virgin Media and Starcom (Publicis). He was responsible for the provision of evidence-based insights to advise senior management on strategic and tactical decisions related to media & marketing. Edward has advised global brands throughout numerous industries on USD 100 million marketing budget allocations across online and offline channels. He has consistently delivered 15% ROI on such allocations.
Edward is also an angel investor in a number of early stage ventures in software, e-commerce, ed-tech, marketplaces and others. He also sits on the board of such companies, helping them develop digital marketing and platform strategies.
Edward holds an economics degree from FAAP-SP. He also holds a Masters in Econometrics and Statistics and a Masters in Computer Science, both from the University of Manchester.
Edward is fluent in English and Portuguese.

Radical transparency
We are admirers of Ray Dalio and the principles of radical transparency he applies in his company Bridgewater Associates. Radical transparency is all about idea meritocracy, focused on the pursuit of truth. The best idea wins regardless of seniority, position or status. Nothing beats substance in the creation of meaningful work.
Win-Win Mentality
A win-win mentality does not mean trying to please everyone. It is about finding equilibrium between diverse interests and encapsulating it in a flexible and creative solution for the problem at hand. This mindset also has a lot to do with enthusiasm, optimism and determination, as much as it is distant from a scarcity or zero-sum mentality.
Big Dream-lining
Big dream-lining is all about having big dreams. Although most people relate the pursuit of dreams with a goal-setting process, we believe in a fear-setting process. If we know our greatest fears, we can define mitigation and accept the limits of our control. Only then are we truly free to pursue our biggest dreams. As Tim Ferriss says: "What we fear most is usually what we most need to do."
